It's amazing what a few months can do. It's been a pretty wild ride. Some really bizarre shit happened to me around the holidays that isn't even worth mentioning here but my greatest takeaway was simply just following my heart, dodging a majorly huge bullet and feeling really confident just knowing myself. Changes have been made and the new year just keeps getting better and better!
As I alluded to in my previous post, I had a lot of updates to make but not enough time to do them. I'm still in a similar place but gradually making progress. I finished my first of 2 of these Knot Again tops designed by Rachel Illsley back in early June 2024. BUT, in my defense, I wanted to finish the 2nd top and take photos of both of them at Squam to compare and contrast the different sizes and yarn used.
This photo is from June and I am posing in front of some of the overloaded bookshelves in our master bedroom.
I used about a hank and 1/2 of Kindred Red Rad Sock in the Phosphorescence colorway.
I used US size 5, 32" circular needles for the body (a size smaller than the pattern calls for) and US size 2, 40" circulars for the hem, collar and sleeve edges.
This pattern is fun because it's knit flat with a multiple cast-ons as you progress.
The herringbone lacework is a bit tedious at first by you will have it mastered and completely memorized by the time you finish.
I'm making this update short and sweet so I can move onto the next top and a full recap of Squam.
